Proform’s 590T treadmill combines technology with a good workout. This model is part of Proform’s Tech Series. It has a total of 12 Quick-Calorie Burn workout types that you can select from the console. You can quickly choose how much calories you want to burn. The treadmill will automatically adjust its speed, incline and even the length of your workout time to meet your goal. The 590T has the platform for the iFit Workout Card Technology. The cards, designed by Certified Personal Trainer, contain different levels of progressive workouts with a corresponding length. They focus on fitness goals such as weight loss, performance and body sculpting. Each of these fitness goals have different levels and begin with simple workouts that gradually increase to more intensive ones until the end goal is reached. You’ll also hear the voice of a personal trainer to help motivate you as you complete your workout. These computer cards are plugged directly into the treadmill’s console which has an LCD display to help you keep track of your exercise progress.

Listening to your own music played on Intermix Acoustics speakers through a USB plug in the console is also great. No need to strap on your player to your body and use earphones. Now you can move to the beat of that song that could encourage you to run longer.

Good Stuff

Bad Stuff

Bad Point 1.	The cord attached to the plug is only 6 feet long and comes out in front of the machine. There is not enough room to slide it out back as it won’t reach the other end
Bad Point 2.	Unfortunately The screws are very tight to put in. Make sure you have someone with a good grip to help you insert the screws
Bad Point 3.	The heart rate monitor is hard to use while running. You need to stop and put your hand on the sensor in order to get an accurate reading

The Proform Trailrunner 590T is a good treadmill that gives you progressive workouts with various levels of difficulties. It’s a treadmill that helps you exercise with the thought of completing whatever goal you choose. Be it weight loss, performance or body sculpting, once you decide to embark on that path, you’ll be motivated to finish the entire tract as each workout starts at a level you can manage and builds up considerably as you go through each level. A heart rate monitor helps you do a check and balance to ensure that your body is in the right training zone. The iFit card technology is a plus too. Since this is part of Proform’s Tech Series, it’s a good idea to purchase the cards along with your treadmill as this will be one of the first elements of the machine you are most likely to use. Whether you’re a techie or not, you’ll appreciate this component of the treadmill.

We think the Trailrunner 590T combines a good sturdy frame with motor that’s right for the type of workout it can provide for you. Its got a comfortable cushioning system to help with tendon shock, easily adjustable speed and incline functions, a heart rate monitor, and a USB plug so you can enjoy your music throughout your exercise. It really does combine technology with a good solid workout.
