A walking pad is a low, rail-free treadmill made for walking under a standing desk or in front of the TV, then sliding under a sofa or bed. The six below range from a 36-pound flat pad to a 400-pound-capacity pad with 14% incline. Before buying, measure the space under your desk and check the user weight limit and belt size against your stride.
Every specification on this page comes from the manufacturer’s own product page, checked on 26 October 2026. We have not used these products ourselves, so the picks are based on published specifications only.
For how walking pads differ from full treadmills, read walking pads explained, walking pad vs treadmill and using an under-desk treadmill.
How we chose these
- Full specifications published: speed range, maximum user weight, walking area and motor.
- Remote or app control, since there are no handrail controls.
- A range of sizes and features: flat and incline, foldable and flat-storing, light and heavy-duty.
All six top out between 3.75 and 4 mph, so they are for walking and, at most, a slow jog. If you want to run, a full treadmill is the better fit.
